You may be asking: What is Marvel Rivals? Well, Marvel Rivals is a 6 versus 6 PVP game similar to other games such as Call of Duty and Overwatch. In this game, guns are substituted with superpowers and abilities depending on the Marvel character chosen in the character selection. The game was first released on December 6th, 2024 by Netease Games and Marvel Entertainment. The Beta version was introduced from July to August with free and exclusive skins given to players who played. The game is free on all new generation consoles and PC, with packed-out servers and fun experiences. 

In my experience, This game is entertaining and addicting, ever since I got my PlayStation 5 for Christmas Marvel Rivals has been the only game I have been playing from day to night. Although there are times when I get consumed with rage because my teammates do not have any contribution, overall I enjoy it and the game should listen to its fans as it is boosting its popularity and having more players worldwide hop on the fun. A famous and well-known streamer known as Ninja commented on Instagram: “Marvel Rivals knows what they’re doing, the game is massive”. This remark expressed how the game is fun and has become mainstream with many players. Credit the creators for taking feedback from the players and making huge changes to improve the play along the way.

The game has received some hate and criticism. Overwatch players accuse Rivals of “copying” their game. Others, like a friend of mine who wishes to remain anonymous, state “There are so many games like that, it is cheeks.” He added, “Play Valorant instead”. 

There will always be haters, and no game will ever make everyone happy, but with the massive compliments and content being made from this game, it is safe to say that it will keep growing and silence the negativity.
