NHS is offering free tutoring to help Neuwirth students succeed this school year.

Do you ever feel like you are behind in terms of your studies? Do you feel like the lessons in class aren’t easy and you need guidance? Well, look no further, as Neuwirth is offering free tutoring to all students! Yup Yup Yup, you read that right, FREE TUTORING RAHHHHHHH!!! 🤤😣😣

In the past, if a student needed help, it was up to the teachers to offer tutoring and office hours. But now, thanks to the National Honor Society (NHS), Neuwirth is enlisting the smartest seniors to participate in tutoring for those needing help with their class subjects.

To gain some more insight into what tutoring has to offer, we chatted with Ms. Bruno, the NHS advisor. Ms. Bruno spoke about how NHS decided to “prioritize tutoring because [they] have noticed a need for it.” She added, “Tutoring has a great benefit for students because often that extra bit of support can make all the difference in a student's understanding of a subject.”  NHS encourages students to reach out for help when they first realize that they need it and not wait until it is a problem. “Many students may be struggling in one or more classes” added Bruno, “but are shy about reaching out for help.” Tutoring can help students gain more knowledge about what they are learning so they can reach a new level of understanding.

The idea of Neuwirth offering tutoring for students in need is very brilliant because not only does it benefit the students who sign up and get help on their work, but it also benefits the NHS students providing the tutoring by allowing colleges to notice how the seniors participated in school activities that benefited other students who struggle. By helping other students, especially underclassmen, NHS tutors are telling colleges that they care about their community and are willing to help out those in need - great qualities that any college looks for in an incoming student.

If you're seeking help in a subject you are struggling with, try to join the tutoring program for better knowledge!!! Some ways to register for tutoring are by scanning the QR codes on the posters around the halls and filling out the brief Google Form to be matched with your tutor.
