Throughout 2024, I have discovered artists and groups that I love. I’m really into K-pop so there are a lot of artists that I admire like ATEEZ, BTS, TXT, and other groups. But a group that has stuck with me since the beginning of this year is Stray Kids. I spent a lot of time listening to Stray Kids, so I ranked their albums and singles from just this year based on my own enjoyment. First of all, who are Stray Kids? Short introduction, Stray Kids is an 8-member group from South Korea under JYP Entertainment. the group debuted on March 25, 2018. They’re a self-produced group so most are made by themselves. Okay anyway, let's move on and dive into the best releases from 2024 that will carry you through the cold months at the start of 2025.

  1. HOP

HOP is an album released on December 13, 2024, it includes 12 songs. I love all of the songs on here even if it’s the same formula Stray Kids used in every single album, this one just has its own flair. The songs on here are ones that I can listen to thoroughly without any problem; in my opinion, it's a no-skip album.

  1. Lose My Breath

Lose My Breath is a single which was released on May 10th, 2024. I really, really like this song, it was catchy and enjoyable, nothing to complain about. The line distributions could’ve been better, but aside from that, I enjoyed this song. The melody, vocals, lyrics, and overall concept were something I enjoyed throughout.

  1. ROCK-STAR

Rock-Star is an album released on November 10th, 2023, and it includes 8 songs. This was the album that first introduced me to Stray Kids. There are a couple of songs that I liked but the others were just ones that aren’t my favorite. Overall I like the concept, and it’s a good album overall

  1. Giant

Giant is an album that was released on November 13th, 2024, that includes 10 songs. It’s a Japanese-exclusive album, and it’s good. I didn’t put it higher because while there are some new songs, some of them are just repackaged or covered in another language. Overall, it's a good album.

  1. ATE

Ate was an album that was released on July 19th, 2024. I’ll start this by saying that this album was higher but over time as more music got released, it fell further down my list. I liked the album when it first came out and would replay the music constantly, but as time went on, I got bored of the album. It’s a really good album, I love the concept, lyrics, and the meanings behind it, but it’s just something I vibed with less and less. It’s a gray area for me; I don't love it, nor do I hate it.

  1. Slash

Slash is a single that was released on July 23, 2024. It’s a song made for Deadpool & Wolverine which was released 3 days after the song’s release. Slash is a promotional song for the movie, so it wasn’t in the film, much to the dismay of all of us fans. It’s great, honestly, but it's not a song that stuck with me. It’s more like a song that I would play once in a while. I could have placed higher but I rarely listen to it, like I just mentioned, so it seems unfair. The movie was great, though.
