What haunted houses did Universal Studios bring to Halloween Horror Nights this year? Well, this year there are 8 new haunted houses for various horror films such as Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, A Quiet Place, a terror tram/ maze just for Blumhouse Productions movies (M3GAN, The Black Phone, The Purge, and Happy Death Day), The Texas Chain Massacre: The Legacy of Leatherface and Insidious: The Further. Others that weren't based on movies such as Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines, Monstruos 2: The Nightmares of Latin America, Dead Exposure: Death Valley, and The Weekend: Nightmare Trilogy.  Spoiler Alert: Some details of what is in the houses will be discussed below.

      Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire:

Do you enjoy the Ghostbusters movie franchise? Are you thinking about attending Halloween Horror Nights before it wraps up? Universal Studios Hollywood has introduced a haunted house themed around the latest installment, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. This attraction features a variety of characters from the films, recreates iconic scenes, and immerses visitors in an experience where it feels like you're battling Garraka from the movie.

After enjoying the full experience of the house, consider heading over to indulge in a sweet treat—a s'more inspired by the Ghostbuster character, the Marshmallow Man. I bought this item, and while it is very cute, I think it might be a bit overly sweet. After a while, it can become a tad overwhelming, so I recommend sharing one with someone else to truly enjoy it. Eating one by yourself may be a bit too much.

Smores treat

                                       Blumhouse Terror Tram/ Maze:

Are you a fan of M3GAN, The Black Phone, The Purge, and Happy Death Day? Well, then I suggest you go to the Terror Tram, as the Terror Tram is all about the Blumhouse movies we love. But the main focus is on these 4 movies from Blumhouse Productions. As you ride the Terror Tram you get sneak previews of some of the studio’s newest movies. After a while, you get off the train and have to walk through the various sections dedicated to each of the four Blumhouse movies. I went on the Terror Tram and I really liked it, especially when the tram people greeted us holding chainsaws and began to chase us into the maze. I was so scared that I ran into one of the actors and almost dropped my marshmallow man s’more. On our way back to the tram we again got chased by maniacs holding chainsaws. I practically ran back to the tram because of how scared I was.

 The Quiet Place Haunted House:

Did you like the movie A Quiet Place? No? Too bad because this year, Universal Studios has brought A Quiet Place to life, allowing you to experience the post-apocalyptic world where silence is your worst enemy. How Fun!. In this enchanting horror house, you'll navigate through the dark and eerie environments filled with lurking creatures that hunt by the sound. As you carefully tread through the abandoned homes and overgrown landscapes, you'll encounter chilling scenes that echo the film's tension and suspense. Every creak and whisper amplifies the fear, making you feel that you are a part of the film. You won’t want to miss out on this experience.

The Texas Chain Massacre: The Legacy of Leatherface:

Still not scared? Wow, you're a tough one! Well, you’re in luck as Universal Studios has 7 more if you want to piss your pants, such as the Texas Chainsaw Haunted House. This attraction captures the essence of horror, immersing you in the chilling world of Leatherface and his terrifying family. From the moment you step inside, you’re hit with a blend of eerie sounds and unsettling visuals that set the tone for what’s to come. The attention to detail is incredible; the props and set design recreate the film's iconic scenes, making you feel like you've walked straight into the movie. The dim lighting and sudden scares keep you on edge throughout the experience. The actors do a phenomenal job of bringing the horror to life. They’re not just lurking in the shadows; they’re in your face, heightening the tension with every step. You might jump at unexpected moments, even if you think you’re ready for it. The maze-like layout of the haunted house keeps you guessing about what’s around the next corner, and just when you think you’ve seen it all, there’s another surprise waiting for you. It’s a relentless thrill ride that’s perfect for horror enthusiasts and casual fans alike.

Overall, the Texas Chainsaw Haunted House is a must-visit for anyone looking to test their bravery. So if you're feeling bold and still not scared, grab your friends and dive into this frightful experience. Just be prepared—you might not feel as tough as you thought you were by the time you leave.

      Insidious: The Further Haunted House:

This year Universal Studios has made the movie Insidious into a haunted house. This house is perfect for people who love spine-chilling thrills, cool set designs that absorb you in the film's eerie atmosphere, and heart-pounding surprises around every corner. It’s like walking through a nightmare without the need for a therapist afterward. Whether you’re a die-hard fan of the franchise or just someone who thinks screaming is a workout, this attraction promises a night of fear and fun that’s bound to leave you checking under your bed later

Other Haunted Houses that are in Horror Nights:

There are many attractions beyond just the Haunted Houses inspired by films, such as "Monstruos 2: The Nightmares of Latin America," which draws from the rich tapestry of Latin American folklore, featuring creatures like El Cucuy, El Charro, and El Cadejo. "Dead Exposure: Death Valley" transports you to a top-secret government facility where a disastrous experiment has transformed individuals into radioactive zombies.

In "Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines," a fierce battle unfolds among Saskia Van Helsing (the daughter of Abraham Van Helsing), the Bride of Frankenstein, and the daughter of Dracula, along with her devoted followers.

Lastly, "The Weekend: Nightmare Trilogy" creatively intertwines Weeknd's music videos and live performances into an immersive experience.

During Horror Night, various actors roam the park, ready to scare unsuspecting guests. However, they’re not everywhere—specific areas are dedicated to thrills, where you might find a chainsaw-wielding performer, or encounter the tall crow man. Try the various snacks and goodies that they have to offer. If you need a break from the scares, you can enjoy many rides that remain open during Halloween Horror Nights.

So, would you consider visiting Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights before the season ends? If so, you have until Sunday, November 3rd, the last night it is open to the public.
